RSVP Volunteer of the Quarter: Curtis Young, Red Cross

After a 42-year career in the automobile industry, Curtis Young wanted to give back to the community in retirement. As both a Transportation Specialist and Fleet Volunteer, Young transports life-saving blood donations and tracks routine vehicle maintenance for Red Cross vehicles.

What is it about the Red Cross that keeps you coming back?
“I feel that the delivery of blood and platelets to area hospitals is helping people save and improve lives.”

What advice do you have to an interested volunteer?
“Jump right in and become involved in whatever department of the
Red Cross that interests you.”
